Brief: Justice Katju[ref 1] belongs to a family, whose most of the members are either Judge or lawyer. He started his law practice as a lawyer in 1970. He raised up to the rank of Chief Justice of High Courts and finally a Judge in Supreme Court in 2006. He retired from his post in 2011.
